A hands-on workshop for children aged 8 to 12 (maximum 10 participants).
Led by Carol Vallet, an experienced primary school teacher with over 20 years of international experience in developing creative writing projects in schools.

💰Price: 20 Eur (non-member) 15 Eur (Member). For this workshop membership can also apply to either of the parents of the child taking the workshop.
What to Expect:
Children will embark on a creative writing journey inspired by the stunning illustrations in The Mysteries of Harris Burdick by Chris Van Allsburg.
Engaging oral activity: Exploring the book’s illustrations, discussing characters, and using vivid adjectives to describe them.
Writing process exploration: Step-by-step guidance to develop a compelling story.
Final creation: Each child will complete a piece of writing by the end of the session.
📩 Post-Workshop:Each child's story will be typed up and emailed to parents within five days, along with the illustration that inspired their writing.

In the case that there are fewer than 6 participants enrolled for the workshop, we reserve the right to cancel. We will undertake to inform all enrolled participants of the cancellation. In this case, we will refund all participants the full amount of their fees paid.
Carol Vallet
Carol Vallet is a French/Brit based in Brussels. She teaches Primary school children and frequently creates class projects inspired by well-known children’s authors. Encouraging children to read and write is her day to day and she writes short stories based on life experience in her free time. She has lived in Britain, France, Japan and Italy and her writing is often inspired by these places.
