Free poetry evening exploring the theme of resilience

Time & Location
24 May 2025, 18:30 – 20:00
Pianofabriek, Rue du Fort 35, 1060 Saint-Gilles, Belgium
About the event
Don’t hesitate, 'joy is not made to be a crumb', (Mary Oliver). Anguish can take many forms: trauma, disability, loneliness, grief, uncertainty about the future, feeling out of control. When all else fails, poetry delivers solace, release, or a glimmer of hope. Poetry fortifies, strengthens and makes us resilient.
At this vibrant and hope-full poetry evening, seven poets from across Europe will read from their work including themes of overcoming hardship and drawing something beautiful from it. After the event, everyone is welcome to stay for an after party in the Pianofabriek bar.
