Whoever you are, you have a story worth telling. You may have scared away from writing it down, you may have lacked the structure or the right words. You may have that one person who made a difference in your life and you wish you could express (to them, or yourself), exactly how they did that. Write What You Know is a five-week course where you will use the power of words to translate your experience into something you can learn and grow from. If you are a writer, this course will help you harness the inexhaustible resource of personal experience for your fiction. It is taught by award-winning author, and co-founder of the Wordcraft Collective, Colette Victor. The course covers the following topics: - Using life experiences in your writing - Creating vivid imagery - Using memories to structure narrative - Turning the everyday into the memorable - Elements of strong prose such as sensory writing, dialogue, characterisation, among others. The course is intended for native or near-native English speakers.

Booking and cancellation policy
It is possible to pay for the course in 2 or 3 installments. Please send us an email on info@wordcraft-collective.eu if you want to use this option. If the course fees are too high due to personal circumstances, even with the option of paying in installments, please let us know via mail. We will try to come to a solution that works for both parties. Don’t be shy about it. After registration you have 14 days in which to change your mind up until 2 weeks before the start of the course. Within these 14 days you are entitled to cancel your enrolment without providing a reason by sending an email to info@wordcraft-collective.eu. After this, your enrolment is definite and no refund is possible. In the case that there are fewer than 6 participants enrolled at the start of the course, we reserve the right to cancel the course. We will undertake to inform all enrolled participants of the cancellation. In this case, we will refund all participants the full amount of their fees paid.
